Making the Staple List Review by Chela
Rating

I was expecting the Vanilla smell to be sweeter like cupcakes lol, however I do love the bourbon vanilla smell it has to it. I ABSOLUTELY love the consistency (thick) as well as the hold this butter gives me. My hair does not hold well with anything other then Gels. The definition I got with this is crazy! While I am going to try more butters and creams, I think i'll add this to the staple list.

BEST STYLER EVER Review by Brit

After reading incredible reviews on this stuff, I finally got it and I am in love with it. My hair loves this and I am back in love with twist outs. I was so shocked after this first time i used it because my hair was shiny and moisturized but not greasy. I thought maybe it was a fluke.. but nope it happens everytime I use it. I did my sister and my cousins hair as well and theirs came out beautiful. AWESOME product!

OMG, I'm transitioning and I moisturize with the transitioning creme and then I seal with the vanilla styling creme and my hair feels like butter Love it definitely a staple. And a little goes a long way.

Great product! Imparts a healthy shine that is incomparable, with a mild hold. The smell is truly awesome, a warm caramel vanilla...

You have to play around with this butter to make it work for you Review by Gommie_Bears

I recently purchased this butter during the Black Friday sales because I have heard that this product was the end all and be all when it comes to moisturizing the hair. My hair is super dry this winter and I need all of the moisture that I can get because my hair is pretty fragile, despite looking thick and wiry-looking.

Currently I have a sew-in but a part of my hair left out. When I tried it the first time, the cream just sat on my hair. I was disappointed to say the least but I was determined to make it work for me. Then a couple of days ago, after a recently shampooed hair, I applied it on my hair that was left out in the bathroom. The only thing different was I was in the bathroom, which was steamy and warm. I scraped half a pea size amount and emulsified the creme in my hands to make it easier to apply on my hair and massaged it in my hair. Then after doing that, my hair decided to cooperate and accept the oils *lol*. I realized that I need to warm the product up in my hands in order for my hair to accept it.

I love the texture of this creme. It is like whipped butter, when you are in a room that is like above 68 F. Anything below that, it becomes a bit harder and you definitely have to warm it up a little to make it work for you. Also I have to wet my hair a little to make it work even better. I think this might be a staple for the winter. And dare I say summer time staple but I need to see if it is doable in the warmer months.

Just what the hair Doc. ordered Review by Triple Sweet Spot

I am absolutely a fan and devotee of Darcy's Botanicals. A friend of a friend who recently transitioned into the 'natural hair' lifestyle encouraged me to try the Curly Jelly. Of course once I explored all the products on the site I was in trouble. I can safely say for the past two months, every two weeks, I have purchased new DB hair items.
It started with the Transition Leave-in Conditioner to the recent arrival to the Madagascar Vanilla Styling Crème; I have yet to encounter a product that my happy curls don’t adore. Besides the obvious appreciation for the health conscious ingredients, I’m so please with the results especially after spending boo-coo amounts in trying to find the right kind of products. Of course the smell is lovely and the price is considerate and smart.
About the MVSC, I’m keen on the thick consistency, it doesn’t require a lot to cover a head and it’s great for fall/winter weather. I use it for moisturizer purposes. I start with a DB leave-in conditioner, apply the MVSC from the roots and massage to the tips and complete with the Jelly!* Depending on the day/activity/effort, I either use the Avocado & Honey Crème or MVSC. And for twists I dampen with the Herbal Leave-in. Needless to say there are plenty of options and combinations to work with. I recommend experimenting and exploring with all the products to find what works for you. Hope you found this helpful!

Con: shipping is slower than desired, but then again all things come to he who waits.
*I often mix a bit of Wave Nouveau moisturizing lotion with the jelly.

When I was transitioning to natural hair, i didn't see any immediate results with this product. I used it again after the big chop and it made my hair feel soft and moisturized. It's also really good for twists and braids. My mom has relaxed hair and this product worked well with her hair.

Its Good. Review by Orilonise

It doesn't moisturize my hair as much as I expected it to, its as if it dries my hair after a while, but I am still trying to find out ways it can possibly work for me. I love the scent, consistency, and how soft it makes my hair feel.

FABULOUS Review by Nabebro

This product is fabulous. It actually makes my kinky 4b hair soft and manageable, unlike most products which fail to deliver, and only actually work with curly hair, NOT kinky hair. I love, love, LOVE Darcy's Botanicals!!
